Company Formation

Start your company the right way, from day one

Incorporation done properly — the right share structure, a compliant setup and the ongoing secretarial duties handled — so your new company starts on solid ground and stays there.

Company formation is the process of incorporating a limited company at Companies House, giving it a legal identity separate from you. It covers the share structure, directors, registered office and founding documents. We set yours up correctly and handle the ongoing secretarial duties that follow.

The plain-English promise

Set up once, set up properly

Forming a company takes ten minutes online — getting it right takes a bit more thought. The share structure you pick, who the directors are, how ownership is split: these are decisions that quietly shape your tax, your control and your options for years. We help you make them well the first time.

We incorporate your company at Companies House, set up a sensible share structure, sort your registered office, and put the founding paperwork in order. Then we handle the ongoing bits founders forget — your confirmation statement, statutory registers and the secretarial admin that keeps you compliant.

You come away with a company that's properly structured, correctly registered, and ready to trade — plus an accountant already in your corner for everything that comes next.

Is this you?

Starting out and second-guessing?

  • You're not sure whether a limited company is even the right move yet.
  • Share splits and director roles feel like decisions you might regret later.
  • You don't want your home address on the public Companies House record.
  • The confirmation statement is a duty you'd honestly forget existed.
  • You've incorporated but have no idea what you're meant to do next.
  • You want one team to handle formation and everything that follows.

If that's where you are, getting the foundations right is exactly what we're here for.

How it works

From idea to incorporated in three steps

  1. We plan the structure

We talk through your plans and agree the right shares, directors and setup before anything is filed.

  2. We incorporate you

We register your company at Companies House, sort the registered office, and prepare your founding paperwork.

  3. We keep you compliant

We handle your confirmation statement and secretarial duties, and point you to the right next steps.

Your confirmation statement

Every UK company must file a confirmation statement at Companies House at least once every 12 months, confirming its details are up to date — it's due within 14 days of the review date. Newly formed companies must also register for Corporation Tax with HMRC within 3 months of starting to trade. We keep track of both for you.

Questions, answered

Common questions about company formation

It depends on your profits, your risk, and your plans. A limited company gives you limited liability and can be more tax-efficient once profits grow, but brings more admin and public filing. A sole trader setup is simpler but exposes you personally. We'll look at your situation honestly and recommend what actually suits you.

It's an annual filing that confirms your company's key details at Companies House — directors, shareholders, registered office and share capital — are still correct. It must be filed at least once every 12 months, even if nothing has changed. Miss it and your company can be struck off, so we handle it for you.

Yes. We can provide a professional registered office so your home address stays off the public Companies House record, and we forward any official post to you. It's a small thing that protects your privacy and gives your company a more established presence from the outset.

Quite a few things people don't expect: register for Corporation Tax within three months of trading, set up a business bank account, keep proper records, and possibly register for VAT or PAYE. It sounds like a lot, but we give you a clear roadmap and handle the parts you'd rather not touch.
