Cookie Policy
What cookies we use, why, and how you stay in control.
Last updated: 24 July 2026. This policy sits alongside our Privacy Policy and explains how we use cookies under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
What are cookies?
How we handle consent
When you first visit, we show a banner giving you equal choices to Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences. Nothing beyond strictly-necessary cookies is set until you tell us it's okay. We use Google Consent Mode, which defaults every non-essential category to “denied” until you consent.
You can change your mind whenever you like using the button (also in the footer and the small tab in the corner).
The cookies we use
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| hk_consent | Strictly necessary | Remembers your cookie choices so we don't ask on every visit. | 12 months | First-party |
| PHPSESSID | Strictly necessary | Maintains your session for security and form handling. | Session | First-party |
| _ga / _ga_* | Analytics | Google Analytics — anonymised statistics about how the site is used. Only set if you allow Analytics. | Up to 24 months | Third-party (Google) |
| NID / CONSENT | Functional | Set by Google Maps when you load the map on our Contact page. Only set if you allow Functional cookies. | Up to 6 months | Third-party (Google) |
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may stop some parts of the site from working as intended. Guides are available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
Changes
If we add or change cookies, we'll update this page and, where the change is significant, ask for your consent again.
